Coverage for the Washington Informer includes Prince George’s County government, school system and some state of Maryland government. Received an award in 2019 from the D.C. Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for beat reporting. During his time at the paper, he's coverage local elections in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Led coverage of the 2018 gubernatorial primary and general election. Before arriving at the paper, worked as a correspondent for Diverse: Issues in Higher Education based in Fairfax, Virginia. Worked nearly 10 years was at The Morning Call newspaper in Allentown, Pennsylvania, covering local news of the state's townships and boroughs in the Easton area. One of the biggest moments was covering the 2008 inauguration of President Barack Obama riding on a charter bus from Easton to Washington, D.C., to capture the moment with residents witnessing the nation's first Black president in office.
