Inequities in Federal Advertising Contracts Persist, With Black-Owned Media Virtually Locked Out

The federal government spent $14.9 billion on advertising contracts over the past 10 fiscal years, but only 14% of that amount was allocated to businesses owned by minorities, women, and other disadvantaged groups, with Black-owned media receiving no more than $10 million of the total $14.9 billion.
