Kidney Foundation Urges Congress to Support Bill

Nearly 150 advocates from six kidney organizations around the country converged on Capitol Hill to meet personally with lawmakers and put a human face on kidney disease.

Dr. J. Keith Melancon has turned a recently established kidney transplant center at the District’s George Washington University Hospital into one of the country’s most-respected and successful facilities, quickly emerging as a beacon of hope for Blacks and other minorities living in the Greater Washington Area.
