Republican Gov. Jeff Landry has signed a law requiring the display of the Ten Commandments in every classroom in public schools in Louisiana, despite the Supreme Court ruling that such displays violate the Constitution, as a diversion from the state’s poor ranking in child well-being and the lack of progress on other issues.
