Dems’ Revised COVID-19 Relief Package Would Restore $600 Weekly Unemployment Benefits, Supply $1,200 Stimulus Checks

by WI Guest AuthorOctober 7, 2020December 21, 2021

House Democrats’ revised coronavirus relief bill would restore some popular programs, including restoration of $600 in extra weekly unemployment for people who lost their jobs in March after the pandemic crippled the economy.

Delegate Diana Fennell (D-District 47A) of Colmar Manor speaks during a Jan. 14 press conference in Annapolis to support legislation to raise the state's minimum wage to $15 an hour. Fennell will introduce legislation in the House and state Sen. Cory McCray of Baltimore City (second from left) will present similar legislation in the Senate. (William J.
