Athletic Trainer Shortage Dominates Teacher Contract Negotiations

The WTU and DCPS are in the process of negotiating an expansion of the athletic trainer workforce, but DCPS has refused to negotiate due to D.C. Code 1–617.08, which prevents DCPS from hiring more athletic trainers.
