Bowie State University is planning a new mixed-use development, the Gateway, which will provide 184,000 square feet of retail space and housing for 600 students, while Morgan State University’s School of Education and Urban Studies has appointed Dr. Meria Carstarphen as the inaugural director of the National Center for the Elimination of Educational Disparities.
